Winter and Spring Break trips are a great way to travel cheaply while doing a very satisfying deed in the process. Trips are a little over a week long to locations all over the United States. It’s a great way to get to know other people from the U of M through travel time and interaction throughout the week.

The trips usually take a couple days of travel time over the weekend to get to the destination on Sunday. During the week, the days are spent at the worksite. Nights are free to do whatever the group decides to do. Depending on the location, this might include site seeing, activities planned by the host for the group to participate in, or just relaxing. Generally, the local affiliate gives the group one full day off during the work week to go site seeing and tourist type events. After an exciting and full week the group then heads back to Minnesota.

Recent trips include:
  • Kahului, Hawaii
  • Americus, Georgia
  • Stuart, Florida

Spots fill up very quickly for these trips. For more information, contact the Collegiate Challenge Coordinator at trips@uofmhabitat.org. To save your spot on an upcoming trip, a $100 deposit is required. We have flexible payment options for covering the rest of the trip.
